North Brother Island is one of the most famous forbidden abandoned places in NY. The island has a gloomy history. It was home to the infamous Typhoid Mary before it became a rehab center for teenage drug addicts. Noe this abandoned island serves as a bird sanctuary.

The Bhangargh Fort is the 17th-century fort that is considered one of the most haunted places in India. The Government of India has declared the for. Tourists are not allowed to visit the fort from sunset to sunrise. Whoever tried to break the rules was never found after that.

10. Heard Island, Australia
